Kari Sam Wuhrer born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer started her career when she was a teenager. She is best known for her role as Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders, as well as her role as her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the thriller-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised at Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble, who worked as a pay clerk as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. The youngest of her three siblings. The singer began performing in club nights as a teenager. She would sneak out of her home to perform. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School, at the age of 13, she studied drama in the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on April 28 on the 28th of April, 1967. Her mother works as a payroll accountant, and her father, German-American, is a police officer as well as a car salesman. Kari has three brothers and sisters. When she was in her teens performing in nightclubs, she was able to make a name for herself when she would sneak away and perform. Kari began studying acting when she was 13. Her next stage of study was drama at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in collaboration together with Uta Hagen, a renowned instructor. Kari was first introduced to acting when she was 13 and got her first big break in 1987, when she was featured on MTV Remote Control.
