Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Julia Fiona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. In the early years of his life, her dad became fascinated by theatre. He acted on at the Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions in Atlanta. He joined the Air Force, and was stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a show together with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in 1955. Their first son, Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after he left the Airforce in the year 1957. Walter began his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 on the children's local Saturday morning television program Bum Bum and His Buddies, which they funded themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for 6 years. The couple had another two children. Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known as Julie).
